Strategy of public administration reform in the Slovak Republic
Niznansky, Viktor |
|
The paper sets out what it sees as the connection between economic effectiveness and good government. It tries to locate the specific circumstances of Slovakia within the framework of perceived world-wide trends in the development of society. It argues that public administration reform affects all social sectors and needs nation wide consensus and active non-partisan participation. It claims there is a need for professional independence of civil servants, the introduction of information technology, more flexible local government and the delivery of cheaper services. |
