The main trends of the internal political devlopment of Slovakia in 2000 as one of the factors of the foreign policy of Slovakia

The author argues that after a period of uncertainty, internal stability and improved democratic institutions in Slovakia have been key factors in growing acceptance by the EU. Representatives of the EU have made it clear that only the continuation of positive trends in the country will create conditions for complete integration of the Slovak Republic into the EU and Nato.
