Communication of the government of Slovakia

Školkay, Andrej
This paper states that public trust in the government in post-communist countries is low. It argues that among the reasons for this is the under estimation of image by the government, an uneven spread of media awareness between different ministries and a lack of professionalism. It provides its findings from interviews with the government, journalists and citizens. From these results the paper recommends ways in which communication between the government and society could be improved.
